Elder Law

This workshop is free and is critically important if you are planning for your later years or the later years of loved ones. This workshop is designed to inform and teach individuals about various methods of paying for long-term care, whether in-home care, assisted living care or nursing home care, while preserving assets for you or for the benefit of loved ones.

We will discuss the tax, Medicaid, and other implications of asset transfers, including life insurance, to spouses, children and grandchildren. Long Term Care insurance as a partial solution is compared to Medicare and Medicaid programs which we discuss in detail.  We study the risks of disability at all ages, and look at important planning tools such as living wills, powers of attorney, wills and trusts.  We also discuss the pension benefit that may be available to war veterans or their spouses.

The estimated time for this workshop is one and one-half hours.  If you are interested in attending, please contact our office to register as seating is limited.

Upcoming Seminars

Our workshops are generally held in our office, and occasionally we present them at various locations throughout the Susquehanna Valley including Mifflinburg, Lewisburg, Northumberland and Danville.
